About Us
Instructional Media Services supports the academic program in four areas:• media curriculum materials
• library media classroom
• portable equipment for short-term, academic use
• media design, duplication, and production services
Media Curriculum Materials
The Instructional Media Services librarian develops the library's media collection by acquiring materials requested by faculty members to meet their instructional needs. These items are purchased with the library's media materials fund on a first-come, first-served basis over the course of the university's fiscal year, which begins June 1.Only OBU and HSU faculty may take audio and video materials outside of the library. The standard check-out period is two weeks, but it may be customized to fit a faculty member's instructional needs. All other patrons must review the materials in the library.
Faculty may also arrange for items be put on reserve for class or individual student use.
To search the media collection, follow these steps:
(1) Go to the library's online catalog.
(2) Under the "Guided Search" heading, select "Keyword Search".
(3) Apply appropriate limits for library and material type (VHS/DVD).
